"Curiosity, admiration, and delight in nature activate my energy and creativity. By encouraging observation skills and interest in the natural world, I see others increase their energy and ability to express creative ideas. I work with community members using art and its processes to unite people with the natural world, each other, and their inner self. Often these projects have connected the community and transformed public spaces. The expression of creativity is healthy and uplifting for individuals and communities, it supports the building of a sustainable cultural ecology. My current project themes include water, food, gardens, nutrition, wind, and natural cycles."

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Recipient of grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, Heinz Foundation and Pittsburgh Foundation, Grable Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council, Pennsylvania Arts Council and the Art Institute of Chicago
• Produced over 40 installation pieces in New York City, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Dayton, Knoxville, Ithaca and Duluth, including the groundbreaking for the Miami Cultural Center
• Participated in international transmission of artwork with the Digital Art exchange (DAIX) 1982-1991 to Linz (Austria), Dakar (Senegal), Campinas (Brazil), Gwent (UK), Baltimore, Boston, and Chicago
• Collaborated with other artists, choreographers and musicians in performances in Cleveland, Milwaukee, Syracuse, Dayton, Albuquerque, Philadelphia, NYC, and Pittsburgh Children's Festival
• Subject of over 80 articles in books, magazines, newspapers and catalogs; ranging from local dailies to the cover of Fiberarts Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, Pittsburgh Press
• Produced 15-minute documentary of works to 1981, "Color Wind in Motion: Process" for the Lausanne (Switzerland) Biennale
• Numerous Artist in Education Pilot Programs, K-12; Interdisciplinary Cross-curricular and Community Projects
